The purple is deep rather than bright, which is what keeps a coloured desk pad from taking over the desk it sits on. Cut from real calfskin, it gives a mouse a consistent surface, quiets a keyboard, and absorbs the rings and scratches that would otherwise land on the desk itself.
Two sizes: 36 x 19 inches covers the working width of most desks, while 14.6 x 31.5 inches suits a narrower or deeper surface. A non slip backing holds the pad in place instead of letting it creep forward under a keyboard, and the smooth face removes the need for a separate mouse mat.
Leather wears in where fabric wears out. Expect the purple to darken slightly where wrists rest and to hold that mark rather than fray around it. Wipe clean with a dry cloth; no conditioning is needed for normal desk use. Made by hand at AVENZA, so grain varies between pads.
