Details
Thirty two inches is a genuinely small desk, built for the rooms where a full sized one simply will not fit: a studio apartment, a dorm room, or a corner carved out of a bedroom that was not meant to hold a workspace at all. The white finish keeps it from feeling heavy in a small room. It proves that a desk does not need much footprint to still feel like a proper, permanent piece of furniture rather than a temporary fix bought to make do.
A single fabric storage drawer takes the pens, chargers and papers that would otherwise sit exposed on such a small surface, which matters more on a compact desk than a large one since there is little spare room to leave things scattered across the top of it.
Clean, minimal lines keep the Lucca from reading as a compromise piece rather than a considered small desk. It suits a laptop and a notebook comfortably, though a full dual monitor setup would ask more of it than 32 inches can give. Assembly is required and takes only a few minutes given the size of the piece. For anyone furnishing a first apartment or a rental room, it is the kind of piece that earns its space without asking for much in return.
