A desk pad is the cheapest way to make a desk feel finished, and leather is the version worth buying. Cut from real calfskin, the Jersey pad gives a mouse a consistent surface, quiets a keyboard, and takes the rings, spills and scratches that would otherwise land on the timber underneath.
Two sizes are available: 36 x 19 inches, which covers the working width of most desks, and 14.6 x 31.5 inches for a narrower or deeper surface. A non slip backing keeps the pad where you put it rather than creeping forward as you type, and the smooth face lets a mouse track without a separate mat.
Pink is the least expected finish in the range and the one that changes a workspace fastest. Calfskin darkens slightly where wrists rest, which is the point of leather over fabric: it wears in instead of fraying. Wipe clean with a dry cloth. Made by hand at AVENZA, so small variations in grain are normal.
